Two people were killed and many others were injured after a tanker collided with two motorcycles and tumbled down a canyon in Maharashtra’s Pune.
According to the police, the accident occurred on Monday night in the mountainous section of Dive Ghat.
An officer stated that brake failure was the primary cause of the accident.
“A tanker transporting raw alcohol was on its way to the Hadapsar industrial area in Pune city when it suffered a brake failure around 8:30 p.m. in the Dive Ghat section of the Pune-Saswad Road.” “The tanker collided with two motorcycles as it rolled down into a 50-60 foot deep gorge, killing two people on the spot,” he explained.
The tanker driver and another person were injured and taken to the hospital.
Firefighters went to the scene to ensure that the chemical did not catch fire.
