Quitting Trend Continues In Tamil Nadu, As 13 More Workers Quit BJP

IT wing Chief, Orathi Anbarasu of BJP’s Chennai west unit including 12 others quit the saffron party on Wednesday continuing the quitting trend within the party. But all thode who quit ensured that they will not join DMK, which is currently in power.

They said that they will follow the footprints of their “leader” and former State IT wing Chief CTR Nirmal Kumar, who joined AIADMK after he quit from BJP.

A war of words also emerged after a couple of other party workers moved to join AIADMK led by K Palaniswami leaving BJP.

Anbarasu said, he had been working in BJP for a long time and was quitting the party because he didn’t want to part of any “conspiracies”.

Addressing the defection issue within the party, state BJP president K Annamalai said this quitting trend has taken a wider dimension as other parties are being the spectators of developments.

“There are possibilities of some big leaders leaving BJP and big leaders coming to the party after three months,” he further added.
