Indian Railways To Run ‘Bharat Gaurav’ Train Joining Ayodhya To Janakpur

Indian Railways will operate its Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train on a very special tour, “Shri Ram-Janaki Yatra: Ayodhya to Janakpur,” covering the two most important pilgrimage sites Ayodhya and Janakpur from the neighbouring countries of India and Nepal, in order to highlight India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the rest of the world.

On February 17, the tourist train will depart from Delhi. This endeavour would enhance cultural ties between the two nations while also strengthening bilateral ties.

As additional attractions, the tourist train will visit Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Kashi, and Prayagraj. Two nights will be spent at each hotel, one in Janakpur and the other in Varanasi, while the daytime stopover will cover the visits to Ayodhya, Sitamarhi, and Prayagraj.

Two excellent dining establishments, a contemporary kitchen, coach-level shower cubicles, sensor-based bathroom facilities, and foot massagers are just a few of the amazing amenities found on the State of Art Deluxe AC Tourist Train.

The completely air-conditioned train offers first and second class accommodations. The train is equipped with an infotainment system for the entire train as well as additional security elements like CCTV cameras and Security Guards for each carriage.

Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, is the first stop on the seven-day Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train Tour, where visitors can explore the Shri Ram Janmbhumi Temple, the Hanuman Temple, and the Bharat Mandir in Nandigram.

After Ayodhya, the train will travel to Sitamarhi Railway Station in Bihar, from whence tourists can take a bus that travels 70 kilometres to Janakpur in Nepal.

Tourists can visit the Ram Janki Temple, Sita Ram Vivah Mandap, and Dhanush Dham while they are in Janakpur. The day after seeing Janakpur, travellers will head back to Sitamarhi to see the Janki temple there as well as Punaura Dham. The train will travel to Varanasi overnight starting from Sitamarhi. Visitors will Sarnath, the Kashi Vishwanath temple and corridor, the Tulsi temple, and the Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple while at Kashi.

With the intention of visiting Sangam, Shankar Viman Mandapam, Hanuman temple, and Bharadwaj Ashram, tourists will go by bus from Varanasi to Prayagraj. On the seventh day of its voyage, the train will depart from Prayagraj and return to Delhi. On this excursion, guests will cover about 2500 kilometres.

IRCTC has partnered with Paytm and Razorpay payment gateways to offer EMI payment alternatives, which allow customers to divide the whole cost into manageable EMIs, in an effort to increase this package’s appeal and affordability to a large population.
