Twitter Witnesses Mass Exodus After Musk’s Hardcore Ultimatum

In a major setback on Thursday, hundreds of employees resigned from Twitter ahead the deadline of the new “ultimatum” by Elon Musk for a commitment towards a “hardcore” work environment.

The internal chat groups of the microblogging site was flooded with farewell messages soon after the employees including engineers announced their resignation a day after the new owner’s ultimatum.

The company has closed its offices till Monday, so as to avoid any confusion over who will continue to have access to the company property amid the massive exit.

As informed by the CNBC, it is still not clear that how many employees have actually resigned. However, three if them have hinted fear of professional retaliation.

“Entire teams representing critical infrastructure are voluntarily departing the company, leaving the company at serious risk of being able to recover. We are skilled professionals with lots of options, so Elon has given us no reasons to stay and many to leave,” said an engineer.

In his ultimatum following which company saw mass exodus, Musk through a companywide mail had asked the employees to make them ready for long hours at “high intensity” for Twitter’s success “we will need to be extremely hardcore”.
