Former US President Donald Trump Officially Announces Presidential Bid For 2024 Elections

The US electoral commission received Donald Trump’s paperwork declaring his intention to run for president in 2024, according to news agency AP. The first significant candidate from either the Republican or Democratic parties to officially declare his candidacy is Donald Trump.

In front of a jubilant audience of fundraisers and ardent fans, Trump declared, “Tonight, I’m launching my campaign for President of the United States to make America great again.” According to the news source, Trump assured his fans that “America’s return starts right now.”

According to Reuters, Trump made the declaration at his Florida resort Mar-a-Lago. The change occurs a week after the midterm elections, in which Republicans fell short of their goal of gaining more seats in Congress. In order to run for president in 2024, the 76-year-staff old’s submitted paperwork to the US Federal Election Commission.

Trump was twice impeached by the House of Representatives before he lost the 2020 election to Democrat Joe Biden.

President Trump will announce on Tuesday that he will be running for president, and it will be a very professional, very buttoned-up announcement, according to longtime adviser and top staffer Jason Miller.

Trump submitted paperwork formally announcing his candidacy to the Federal Election Commission minutes before his address.

It should be emphasised that Miller supported Trump during the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections and continues to support him as an advisor after the election.

Prior to Trump’s announcement at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, the paperwork submitted to the US election authority sets up a brutal Republican nomination fight. Trump was criticised by US President Joe Biden, who claimed that he had “failed America.”

He was impeached in 2019 by the Democratic-controlled House on grounds of abuse of authority and obstruction of Congress. Biden was cleared by the Senate after Trump pushed the leader of Ukraine to launch an unfounded corruption investigation into him and his son.

A week before he left office, the House again impeached Trump, this time for inciting an uprising. After leaving office, the Senate found him not guilty.
