The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in a joint encounter has finally shot down a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist early morning on Friday, following a clash between the security forces and the terrorists in Kapren region of the UT’s Shopian district.
“Encounter has started at Kapren area of Shopian. Police and Army are on the job. Further details shall follow, ” said the Kashmir zone police.
“One member of JeM terror outfit killed, identified as Kamran Bhai alias Hanees who was active in Kulgam-Shopian area. Search is still going on,” said Additional Director General of Police.
Searches and surveillance are continuously underway in Kashmir.
