Boney Kapoor, a producer of motion pictures, launched an impassioned tirade against “dishonest” actors who take on roles at their leisure without considering the level of dedication required for various films. In an interview with actor Janhvi Kapoor on The Kapil Sharma Show, Boney Kapoor said that he doesn’t want to identify names but said that films can’t be successful if the thought process is dishonest “from the first instant.”
He stated: “Some actors now choose movies where they simply need to put in 25 days of work but still receive their full salary. The erroneous intention was set up front and centre. There are quite a few actors, however I won’t name them. They evaluate projects based on the number of days they will have to dedicate.”
Janhvi sat next to Boney Kapoor and remained silent as he began his tirade. Added he, “Convenience is the foundation of their entire setup. Both the director and the heroine must be available. How well will the movie turn out? The mental process is deceptive from the start. Movies won’t function until individuals are honest, regardless of whether they are actors, directors, or producers.”
Reddit users attempted to identify the subject of the producer’s comment after the clip from The Kapil Sharma Show was published there. “I believe he is correct regarding actors—he is most likely talking to Akki—who consistently produce pointless films. Despite being almost 15 Akki movies behind, I don’t feel like I’m missing anything “In the comments area, someone wrote. Added another individual, “I believe that he is referring to Akshay. The “25 din” is perhaps a homage to his well-known line, “25 din mein paisa double.” I also assumed Kapil was referencing Brahmastra or BB2 when he said, “Aaj kal toh movie nahi project bante hai, movie rights itne ke bik jayenge, music rights itne ke…,””
Others claimed that Boney is contributing to the issue. “For decades, this man has literally subsisted on remakes. Bollywood has been importing South remakes, and it is now also exporting Bollywood remakes to the South He also discusses sincerity and quick money “One person remarked, while another noted that he frequently uses his own kids as extras in his movies.
The survival thriller Mili, which Boney most recently produced, had a lukewarm reception upon its release last week but did poorly at the box office. Without including the direct-to-streaming film Cuttputlli, Akshay has starred in four box office duds in 2022 alone. He stated in an interview with The Times of India that an eight-hour shift for him is similar to “14–15 hours of any other star” in response to criticism on a perceived lack of effort.
