Congress Faces Jolt In Himachal Pradesh Ahead Polls As 26 Leaders Join BJP

Leaders from Congress have begun giving jolt to the party as 26 leaders including former General Secretary of Pradesh Congress Committee and Dharampal Thakur Khand have already joined the BJP. This comes when Himachal Pradesh is all set to vote for 68 assembly seats on Saturday. .

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur however, predicted a ruling tenure of 25 years in state for the BJP.

The state has a history of shifting between Congress and BJP every assembly election since 1982.

In the mean time, BJP president J P Nadda guaranteed that the state will join Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in re-electing his party. Dismissing AAP’s challenge in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat, he said it has a history marked by making a ton of commotion during elections however winds up losing even deposit in many seats.

Nadda additionally encouraged citizens to cast their votes not based on feelings, but rather by remembering their future.

Nadda blamed the Congress for attempting to confuse the citizens on series of issues, saying “those who have nothing to show always tend to confuse the voters and undermine the democratic process”.

AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra addressed to the Congress’ ‘Parivartan Pratiksha Rally’ at Una in election bound Himachal Pradesh today. Alleging the BJP’s plan for double-engine government, she asked how they were doing the most recent five years. “Was there no oil in their double-engine before this?” she questioned while raising issues from drug menace, unemployment and demand for the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in the state.”
