After taking full control over Twitter Elon Musk has finally done what he was expected to do – sacking the top executives of the microblogging site. The first executives who were sacked included CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Nel Segal and the legal head and policy maker Vijaya Gadde. Although, despite being removed from his top position Parag will leave as a rich man with $42 million from Twitter as he was sacked within 12 months due to change in control.
Reportedly, Parag Agrawal not just has a golden parachute in his contract with the Twitter but he even holds some shares in the company. As per the Twitter filing with SEC in US, Parag holds more than 128,000 shares which now has a worth of $7 million.
However, not only Agrawal who will get money but the legal head and policy maker Vijaya Gadde will also get a severance package of $12.5 million along with $33 million for some 623,156 shares she holds with Twitter.
Apart from these, the two top executives also hold more than 1.8 million in restrictive stocks.
In round of, Parag Agrawal may get around $50 million while Vijaya Gadde around $45 million.
Mr Agrawal was appointed as the CEO of Twitter last year in November when the former CEO Jack Dorsey had stepped down from his position. His compensation for 2021 was $30.4 million, which was given to him in stock awards.
