Actress Sushmita Sen, who has been the target of constant criticism and snark since IPL founder Lalit Modi announced their connection this week, provided the best response to the trolls on Sunday.

She had expressed her gratitude for two articles on the subject in posts from earlier in the day.
In an excerpt from a magazine article, Sushmita Sen wrote on Twitter, “The former Miss Universe’s dating decisions remain continuously, and bizarrely, a source of public debate.”
She also shared a story with the headline “The Problematic Culture Of Calling Women Gold Diggers” in another tweet.
Since Lalit Modi revealed his involvement with the actor, Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi have gained media attention.
In a post on Instagram, Mr. Modi also criticized internet trolls, writing, “Why is the media so consumed with making fun of me for allegedly tagging incorrectly. Can someone please explain? I suppose we are still in the Middle Ages, when two people couldn’t be friends, but magic could happen if the circumstances were right and the moment was right. Live your life, and let others live theirs.”
On Friday, Lalit Modi, the founding chairman of the Indian Premier League, revealed his relationship with the former Miss Universe. He further stated that “it is a new beginning” and that the two are not yet married.
