On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ ‘Iconic Week Celebrations’ at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi (June 6, 2022). As part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ the “iconic week” will be held from June 6 to June 11, 2022. PM Modi will inaugurate the Jan Samarth Platform, a nationwide portal for credit-linked government programmes, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to the PMO, the fundamental goal of the Jan Samarth portal is to promote inclusive growth and development by directing and offering the proper type of government benefits through simple and straightforward digital processes.
The Jan Samarth portal is a one-stop digital hub that connects government credit schemes with lenders directly. The gateway ensures that all linked initiatives are covered from beginning to end.
Special series of Rs 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, and Rs 20 coins will also be released by the Prime Minister. These new series of coins, according to the PMO, will be themed after the AKAM emblem and will be easily recognisable by visually challenged people.
PM Modi will also unveil a digital exhibit tracing the evolution of the two ministries of Finance and Corporate Affairs over the last eight years.
Notably, the event will be held simultaneously at 75 sites across the country, with each place connected to the main venue via virtual mode.
