Amid the political outrage against Hyderabad gangrape case, a BJP MlA has shared a video clip and pictures showing the presence of AIMIM MLA’s son inside a luxurious car with the victim, where the crime took place.
However, the police has so far maintained that the MLA’s son was not involved in the whole incident.
In the shared video clip by the BJP MLA, it is shown that the AIMIM MLA’s son was allegedly involved in sexual assault and rape of the minor girl amongst other accused. However, authenticity of the shared media is still in question.
In sharp allegations, BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao has questioned the police about its action regarding covering up and delaying any police action in the matter. He further questioned why the police has not named the MLA’s son as accused.
“The police have admitted the girl is a minor and sexual assault took place. Now they must answer who is sexually assaulting the girl inside the Mercedes. Is it the MLA’s son or not? As you know, for a minor, there is no question of consent. Why aren’t those inside the Mercedes being booked under the POCSO Act? Why has the MLA’s son been let off,” he questioned.
In addition, the Mr Rao has even claimed that he has more evidence to prove that the AIMIM MLA’s son was involved in the heinous crime.
The BJP MLA shared the video clip and pictures a day after the Police denied the presence of AIMIM MLA’s son. “We have identified five culprits as per CCTV footage and the statement of the survivor, and the MLA’s son is not one of them, ” said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Joel Davis.
So far, three accused including two minors have been arrested by the police. One of the two minors arrested was a son of a local leader of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Telangana Rashtra Samithi Party.
On May 28, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by five boys including three minors when she was returning home after party in the Jubilee Hills region of Hyderabad.
According to the reports, boys had offered the girl a lift to home. They were initially in red mercedes but they changed into an innova at a pastry and coffee shop. After travelling a little far they sexually assaulted and then raped her taking turns while others were guarding.
Initially, the AIMIM MLA’s family had asserted that their son also got down at the pastry and coffee shop when they changed vehicle and was seated at the shop when the crime took place.
