A initial post-mortem report has finally revealed that the playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, famous as KK died due to a cardiac arrest, said sources.
The SSKM hospital in its report to the Kolkata Police said that the 53-year-old singer died due to ‘myocardial infarction’ simply called as heart attack.
However, the initial report has not indicated anything “unnatural as far as death is concerned”.
Earlier, the Kolkata Police had called it an unnatural death. However, sources among Police officials told that the singer had marks of injuries ohed his face and head.
On May 31, Tuesday the singer had returned from a concert in Kolkata aa Grand Hotel, where he collapsed and was immediately taken to the hospital but he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
The final post-mortem report will be released in 72 hours.
In the mean time, many from those who attended KK’s concert complained that the auditorium was fully packed and there was too much unbearable heat. A few hours later of his death news, a video went viral in which KK was seen sweating heavily and complaining of heat.
Soon after news of his death leaked, Twitter was flooded with film industry, fans and others expressing their condolences for KK and his family.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking to his Twitter handle wrote, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
