PM Modi Delivers Speech At Garib Kalyan Sammelan In Shimla To Commemorate 8 Years Of His Govt

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to Shimla and did a roadshow up to Ridge Maidan. PM was greeted warmly by the locals, who showered him with flower petals. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur is accompanying him. PM Modi’s roadshow stretched for half a kilometer from the CTO to Rani Jhansi Park. He also spoke at the Ridge Maidan during the ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’ event to commemorate his government’s eighth anniversary and talked with beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes.

As part of the 11th installment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi, the Prime Minister distributed Rs 21,000 crore to 80 crore farmers.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his speech, the large throng assembled at Ridge Maidan in Shimla shouted and yelled slogans.

The following are some key points from PM Modi’s speech:

The Prime Minister of the country is speaking about his responsibilities. According to Modi, “I never imagined myself as PM in the last eight years. I only have PM responsibilities when I sign documents, but after the file is gone, I’m no longer a PM… I’m only a Pradhan Sevak of 130 crore people who are everything in my life, and you are also everything in my life.”

He said that his government will look after the children who lost their parents during the pandemic, referring to the work done by the BJP government over the last eight years. “Our administration has resolved to take care of thousands of such children,” PM Modi added. “I also sent some money to them via check yesterday.”

PM Modi made a dig at previous governments, saying that before 2015, the country’s ruling parties saw corruption as a necessary component of the system. The country was watching as the money from the initiatives was robbed before reaching the needy since the then government had surrendered to corruption rather than combating it.

He stated, “The BJP government has brought change not only to the country but also to the world.” “He used to declare to people before 2014 that India would not be dominated by anyone and that we would talk to each other, and that is still the case now. Today, India does not compel anyone to extend a hand of friendship. India is now lending a helpful hand.

According to the Prime Minister, “We must fight to ensure the bright future of future generations, as well as the bright India of the twenty-first century. An India whose identity is based on digitization rather than a scarcity of resources.

PM Modi slammed the opposition parties, saying, “Talks used to be about ‘atki latki bhatki’ schemes, nepotism, and scams, but now they’re about government benefits…

Today, India’s start-ups are making headlines around the world. India’s Ease of Doing Business is even mentioned by the World Bank…”

The Himachal Pradesh Assembly election is set to take place later this year.

PM Modi last visited Himachal Pradesh on December 27 to speak at a rally in Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur’s home district of Mandi to commemorate the BJP’s fourth year in power in the state.
