Punjab Police Arrests 5 People In Connection With Sidhu Moose Wala’s Murder

Even as CCTV footage has emerged on social media showing the Punjabi singer’s vehicle being followed immediately before he was shot dead, the Punjab Police stated on Monday that it had collected up some persons and obtained some vital leads in the murder case of Sidhu Moosewala.

Officials claimed the Punjab Police nabbed five guys in Dehradun on Monday in connection with the investigation.

Moosewala, a Congress candidate from Mansa in the recent Punjab assembly elections, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Mansa district on Sunday, a day after the state government reduced his security cover.

According to police sources, while a manhunt is underway to apprehend the perpetrators, the police are also looking into the role of some people who were seen in CCTV footage obtained from a ‘dhaba’ in Mansa where they were enjoying a dinner on Sunday.

According to the reports, another CCTV tape has surfaced on social media showing that Moosewala’s vehicle was being followed moments before gunshots were poured on him, leading to his death.

Inspector General of Police (Faridkot range) Pradeep Yadav told reporters in Mansa that police have vital leads in the case of Moosewala’s murder.

When asked about the CCTV footage of the ‘dhaba,’ Yadav responded, “We have some important leads and some people have been collected up.”

“On top of that, we’ve received multiple leads from key locations, and Punjab Police is investigating,” Yadav said.

“We will publish the details of how the scheme was conceived soon,” he said.

In response to a question, the IGP stated that gangsters were responsible for the event. “Who did the reconnaissance?” Who were the assassins? “We’ll figure it out,” he said.

Yadav declined to say how many persons had been apprehended because the subject is private.

In the meantime, police in Moga have discovered an abandoned automobile, which they believe was used by the perpetrators to flee the scene of the murder.

According to authorities, the automobile is being examined by a forensic squad.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to investigators, was responsible for Moosewala’s death. Goldy Brar, a member of the Bishnoi gang living in Canada, claimed responsibility for the Punjabi singer’s murder.

The death of Moosewala was in reprisal for the shooting of youth Akali leader Vicky Middukhera last year, according to police, who added that the name of Moosewala’s manager Shaganpreet was mentioned in Middukhera’s murder.

Meanwhile, officials added that when Moosewala’s family granted their assent, the singer’s body was post-mortemed at the civil hospital in Mansa.

The cremation will take place on Tuesday at 12 p.m.

In connection with the murder of the Punjabi musician, the Punjab Police nabbed five individuals in Dehradun on Monday.

They were apprehended near the Shimla bypass and transported to Punjab for questioning, according to a police official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The five men were apprehended on suspicion of being involved in the case, according to the official, who added that they were on their way back from Hemkund Sahib, a Himalayan Sikh shrine in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district.
