Four Members Of Maharashtra Family Goes Missing In Nepal Plane Crash

Four members of a family from Maharashtra’s Thane went missing in a Nepal plane crash on Sunday. They were among 22 onboard a 43-year-old plane operated by a private airline, Tara Air, in Nepal that went missing on Sunday and was found at Kowang in Mustang after two hours.

Four people of a same family went missing after a Nepal plane crash on Sunday. The family was from Maharashtra’s Thane. They were amongst 22 others on board.

It was 43-year-old plane operated by Tara Air, Nepal which was found in Mustang’s Kowang two hours later.

Among the four members was a 54-year-old Ashok Triparhi, his wife Vaibhavi Bandekar Tripathi 51-year-old, 18-year-old daughter Ritika Tripathi and 22-year-old soj Dhanyasya Tripathi. The family was in Nepal for a holiday. They had changed flight from Nepal’s Pokhara.

The missing news of family was confirmed by Nepal’s Kapurbawdi Police.

After the search operation was halted on Sunday because of snowfall, the Nepal Army resumed it today morning.

The Army located the crash site physically.
A rescue team led by Nepal Police inspector Raj Kumar Tamang reached the crash site.

“Some of the bodies of the passengers are beyond recognition. Police gathering the remains,” said the official.

So far, 19 passengers onboard have been identified.
Earlier, the plane was missing for two hours but later the spokesperson of Nepal Air Service, Yograj Kandalee confirmed that it was a plane crash.
It was on its way to Jomsang from Pokhara when it crashed due to bad weather, said the sources.

Among the crew members were flight operator Kismi Thapa, Captain Prabhakar Ghimirele, crew members Arka, Utsav Pokharelle.
