Indrani Mukherjea, former media executive who is accused of killing her daughter Sheena Bora in 2012, in a letter to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has said that Sheena Bora is alive.
In the letter, she told that she met with a woman in prison who said that she met with Sheena Bora in Kashmir. So Ms Mukherjea has requested CBI to look after her daughter.
Alongside with the letter, she has even filed a petition with special CBI court, whose hearing will take place soon.
Ms Mukherjea has been in Byculla jail in Mumbai since her arrest in 2015 in the murder case of her daughter. Last month the Bombay High Court had rejected her bail plea, now she is likely to move her plea to the Supreme Court with her lawyer Sana Khan.
The Sheena Bora murder case came to light when Indrani Mukerjea’s driver Shyamvar Rai was caught with a gun. During his interrogation, he revealed that he was involved in another case and had allegedly witnessed a murder.
The case came to light after Indrani Mukherjea’s driver Shyamvir Rai was found with a gun. During his questioning. He revealed that he was involved in another murder case.
In his questioning, the driver even told police that Ms Mukherjea had strangulated her daughter till death in 2012.
Before Sheena Bora’s death, Ms Mukherjea used to refer her as her sibling but later in the investigation it was disclosed that she was hed first-born daughter. It was also disclosed that Sheena used to allegedly blackmail her mother to buy her a house in Mumbai.
As per the police and CBI, Ms Indrani had two children – Sheena and Mikhail, who were abandoned by her mother with their grandparents in Guwahati. Later, Sheena got to know about her mother when she saw a picture of her mother in a magazine.
Sheena Bora then allegedly followed her mother to Mumbai and Indrani introduced her as her sister, even to her husband Peter. However, she vanished in 2012.
After that, Sheena followed her mother to Mumbai, where Indrani introduced her as hed sister, even to her husband Peter, but Sheena vanished.
When Sheena vanished, Peter’s son from first marriage – Rahul Mukherjea tried to find her as he had fell in love with her. Though, he was told that Sheena wanted for make her career abroad so she went.
Lastly, in 2015 the case came to light, in which the investigators had disclosed that Ms Indrani Mukherjea had killed her own daughter in Mumbai’s Bandra and disposed hed mortal remains in neighbouring Raigad.
