CNBC on Tuesday reported that Albhabet’s Inc’s Google has warned it’s employees that they lose their pay or eventually bs fired if they do not follow Covid-19 vaccination rules strictly.
A document circulated by the Google’s leadership had mentioned that the employees had a last date of December 3 to show their vaccination status by uploading their documents showing proof, or to apply for a medical or religious exemption.
Google had said that, after December 3 it would start contacting those who fail to upload their vaccination status or those whose exemption requests were not approved.
The report also mentioned that employees who have not abide by the vaccination rules by January 18, will be placed on “paid administrative leave” for 30 days, along with “unpaid personal leave” for up to 6 months and termination.
Recently, Google postponed its return-to-office plan due to fear of Omicron variant and some resistance from its employees to organization ordered vaccination rules. As per the plan, which is now postpones, it was expected that staff should get back to office for around three days a week from January 10.
