The immigration officials at the Mumbai airport ok Sunday stopped actress Jacqueline because of a LOC (Look Out Circular). The Enforcement Directorate had opened a LOC against her in the Sukesh Chandrasekar case. Ms Fernandez needed to go to Dubai for a show. She has been let go after brief interrogation and has been told that she needs to show up before the investigation agency in Delhi.
The ED will issue new summons to her for showing up at the Delhi agency today.
The investigation agency has filed a charge sheet in a Delhi court against conman Sukesh Chandrasekar and others in the 200-crore money laundering case, alleging that he extorted ₹ 200 crore from a businessman’s wife while he was held up in Tihar jail. The organization has uncovered the proof showing monetary exchanges from Chandrasekar to Ms Fernandez. A horse worth ₹ 52 lakh and a Persian feline worth ₹ 9 lakh were among gifts worth ₹ 10 crores given by Chandrashekar to Ms Fernandez, the ED has said in its charge sheet, as per the sources.
Investigation concerning allegations against the Bollywood star from Sukesh is still on, and the actress is to be interrogate once more.
Alongside Ms Fernandez, the charge sheet makes reference to actress Nora Fatehi, who has been interrogated for the case. Ms Fernandez and her assistants have also been interrogated.
Chandrashekar had before let the media know that he had gifted a vehicle to Ms Fatehi.
Earlier, Nora Fatehi’s representative had said that she “has been a victim”. “She does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by ED to strictly help with the investigation,” said the representative saying that she has been cooperating in the investigation.
