Eight people were shot dead in Chicago since Sunday and the accused remain still at large, said the Illinois authorities.Evans
The police in Joliet and Will County said that the accused knew the victims but the reason behind the killings is still unknown. Currently, the search operation is going on to find out the suspect, said the Joliet Police Chief William Evans.
Authorities on Monday evening issued an alert on social media against the accused as he can be considered “armed and dangerous” after bodies of the victims were found at three separate locations on Sunday and Monday.
One of the bodies was found in a home in Will County on Sunday while, the other seven were found in two homes in Joliet on Monday.
“I’ve been a policeman 29 years and this is probably the worst crime scene I’ve ever been associated with,” said Evans said addressing a press conference on Monday.
