Following the preliminary competition on November 15 at 8:00 p.m. EST, the national costume competition will take place on November 16 at 9:00 p.m. EST. The partnership between this year’s event and Live Bash, a company that will be livestreaming both tournaments, makes it significant. In the US, Telemundo will broadcast it in Spanish, while The Roku Channel will provide streaming service. On November 19, at 6:30 a.m. Indian Standard Time, Indian fans will be able to watch the final competition on Miss Universe’s YouTube channel and X account.

India’s Shweta Sharda will compete in the 72nd Miss Universe pageant. The 22-year-old model and dancer who won the title of Miss Diva Universe in 2023 is from Chandigarh. When she was sixteen, her mother and she relocated to Mumbai. Shweta attended the Indira Gandhi National Open University to finish her undergraduate degree. She has taken part in several well-known TV reality programmes, including Dance Plus, Dance Deewane, and Dance India Dance. In addition to taking part in reality shows, Jhalak Dikhlaja has signed her as a choreographer.

The Miss Universe pageant this year is especially important since it represents a significant turning point in the organization’s history and emphasises its dedication to diversity and advancement. Maria Camila Avella Montañez from Colombia and Michelle Cohn from Guatemala, who will be the first moms and married women to compete in the Miss Universe contest, are breaking down barriers.

Their involvement represents a dramatic change, dispelling myths and changing people’s ideas about what it means to be a Miss Universe competitor. In addition, Marina Machete from Portugal and Rikkie Valerie Kollé from the Netherlands will create history by being the second and third transgender contestants at Miss Universe, respectively, after Angela Ponce, who competed for Spain in 2018. Erica Robin, the representative of Pakistan, will compete in the Miss Universe competition, marking another historic occasion.
