Six terrorists, including two Pakistanis, were killed in two separate encounters with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag and Kulgam districts, according to police.
Last evening, security forces initiated anti-terror operations in Nowgam Anantnag and Mirhama village in Kulgam district, resulting in back-to-back encounters.

The initial shootout occurred in Nowgam Anantnag, where one police officer was hurt, according to authorities. Three terrorists, including a Pakistani terrorist, were killed in the ensuing gun battle, according to authorities.
Soon after the Anantnag incident, security forces launched another operation in Kulgam’s Mirhama, killing three terrorists in a brief confrontation.
The presence of another terrorist in the neighbourhood was suspected by police.
