5-Day Special Parliament Session Begins Today, 8 New Bills To Be Tabled

The five-day “Amrit Kaal” session of Parliament is beginning today. During these five days discussions are scheduled to be held around parliamentary democracy.
In this five-day session there will be tabling of total 8 new bills.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the discussions in Lok Sabha, while senior BJP leader Piyush Goyal will open it in Rajya Sabha.

Talking to reporters, PM Modi said “this session may be small in duration but big on occasion”.

Soon after the proceedings began in Lok Sabha today, there were heated exchanges and Speaker Om Birla was seen requesting members to let the proceedings happen.

MPs from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will meet at Central Hall for a function that will “commemorate the rich legacy of the Parliament of India and resolve to make Bharat a developed Nation by 2047”. Following this there will also be a photo session.

A small worship will take place on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi tomorrow as after today’s meeting at Central Hall, the sitting will be shifted to the new Parliament building.
