Three people were injured in what was likely to be an IED blast on Wednesday evening at around 7:15 pm in Bishnupur district of Manipur.
As per the sources, a scorpio parked in Kwakta exploded which resulted into the injuries.
The witnesses of the event said that they saw the driver leaving the scorpio and that there was no one left inside it.
Soon after the explosion, the injured were taken to the nearby hospital, and they are undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, there have been reports coming of firing amid night on Tuesday near Sugnu and also in Kangpokpi at Wednesday evening.
Since May 3, the state continue to see violence and the internet services also continue to be suspended.
This IED blast incident came just hours after the announcement of Union Home Minister convening an all-party meeting on June 24 to discuss the violence in Manipur in Delhi, that have taken lives of over 110 people.
Taking to Twitter spokesperson for Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday evening said in a tweet, “Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah has convened an all party meeting on 24th June at 3 PM in New Delhi to discuss the situation in Manipur.”
