It’s still not clear, who will hold the Chief Minister post in Karnataka even days after the conclusion of assembly polls in state.
Siddaramaiah, who is one of the two names doing rounds to become the state Chief Minister reached Delhi on Monday. While, another contender DK Shivakumar will reach Delhi today to present his case to the Congress high command.
The party MLAs from Karnataka presented their choices for who should hold the top post to the Congress supreme leadership that include party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
As per the sources, the national party Chief Mallikarjun Kharge is likely to take the decision today.
Speaking to media, Mr Shivakumar said that he will not fight or blackmail, but the party must notice who has helped it to win the assembly polls with such a good margin.
With 135 votes out of total 224 assembly seats – Congress left BJP out of power in state. Karnataka was the only south state where BJP was in power.
