In addition to launching the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express in Hyderabad today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the cornerstone for projects worth over 11,300 crore in Telangana.
PM Modi will also attend a public event at Parade Ground in Hyderabad during his brief visit to the area, according to government sources who spoke to Press Trust of India.
He will also dedicate five National Highway projects and the nearby AIIMS Bibinagar. He will also dedicate to the nation other development projects relating to the railways and lay the cornerstone for the renovation of Secunderabad Railway Station.
The Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express is the second Vande Bharat train to depart from Telangana in as little as three months. It runs between Hyderabad and the home of Lord Venkateswara, Tirupati.
Passengers travelling as pilgrims will notably benefit from the train’s nearly three and a half-hour time reduction between the two cities.
The 720 crore redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station is being planned so that it would receive a significant upgrade with top-notch amenities and an aesthetically pleasing iconic station structure.
The renovated station would have a double-level, roomy roof plaza with all passenger facilities conveniently located there, as well as multi-modal connectivity to allow for, among other things, a smooth transition of passengers from train to other modes.
According to a news release from the railways on Thursday, PM Modi will launch 13 new Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) services during his tour in the suburban area of the Hyderabad-Secunderabad twin city region, giving commuters a quick, easy, and comfortable travel alternative.
Additionally, he would devote to the nation the initiative to double and electrify Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar. The project, which covered a distance of more than 85 kilometres, was finished for just under Rs. 1,410 crore. The project would provide seamless communication and help to increase the average train speed.
The Prime Minister will formally dedicate AIIMS Bibinagar in Hyderabad at a public event at Parade Ground. This demonstrates the Prime Minister’s goal of improving the nation’s health infrastructure, according to a previous official statement.
More than 1,350 crore is being spent on the construction of AIIMS Bibinagar. The opening of AIIMS Bibinagar is a significant step towards offering the people of Telangana complete, high-quality, and holistic tertiary care health services right at their doorstep.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay the cornerstone for national highway projects totaling more than 7,850 crore rupees. These road projects would improve the region’s socioeconomic growth and the road connectivity between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
After his visit to Hyderabad that day, PM Modi is expected to depart for Tamil Nadu.
